Teach your children to go after their dreams, even if it means living in a tent. They will learn to be grateful and content.

Teach them to make the hard decisions when they need to be made. They will learn to stay on the right path

Allow them to face hardship, even if that means they might not like you for awhile. They will learn to overcome.

Give them the power to become who they were meant to be, even if it scares you. They will learn that all things are possible.

Teach them that no matter the decision they make they are always loved and excepted. They will learn to be fearless.

When they come home, meet them with open arms, not condemnation and silly expectations. They will learn to be secure in love.

Allow them room to fail cause that's how we learn.

Always find some way to encourage their independence and to know they can always come home. They will learn to comfort others.

If we do these things we will position our kids to learn the greatest lesson of all; to trust in God for the outcome

If we don't teach em how to deal with the hard stuff, they will never
have their own life, they will always be co-dependent and they will
never know the value of Trusting in God.

These lessons are hard to learn after you've already become old. Trust me that's when I began to learn them and it wasn't fun.
As Steven Stills said, "Teach your children well."

“There is therefore now no
condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,
who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free
from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in
that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in
the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in
the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law
might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the
flesh but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1-4

The
first few chapters of Leviticus are about how to perform properly the
animal sacrifices required to make atonement for the various sins an
Israelite might commit; known or unknown.

Levitical laws
reveal three things:

Who the
Lawbreaker is

What the
penalty for breaking the Law is, the shedding of our blood usually. But God in His great mercy GAVE us another option. :)

The Requirement of the Law needed for being a Lawbreaker and NOT being punished for it. Which is how the infraction of the law might be
atoned for. In every case the atonement was made by blood
sacrifice. The only thing that could fulfill the requirement of the
Law, and was/is, acceptable to God is The shedding of Blood. In this case the blood of sheep, goats, doves, bulls, etc. Later, it would be the blood of God's own Son.

In
Romans 8:4 Paul tells us Yeshua/Jesus Fulfilled the “Righteous
requirement of the Law by the shedding of His blood.

(see
item 3 above)

He
fulfilled the righteous requirement of the law by becoming the
perfect sacrifice. The Lamb that was slain, for us all, from the foundation of
the Earth.

In the
shedding of his blood Yeshua/Jesus fulfilled all the righteous requirements of
the Law for us! Therefore it is later said, 'there is now therefore any more atonement for sin other then the one that was made!' Which as i said what Yeshua did for us.

What
Yeshua/Jesus did for us that day was to completely, and for all time, make
atonement for those that would receive it through the shedding of His
blood!

When
we are covered by the blood of Yeshua, Jesus, we are 'in'
Christ.

'For
you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in
God.'

Colossians
3:3

The
result of that is:

“All
praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed
us with every spiritual
blessing in the heavenly
realms because we are united with Christ.”

The
words translated 'spiritual
blessing' come from the
Greek word 'pnuematicos.'

Pneumaticos
means to have the indwelling nature and character of Christ in us.

'As he
is in the earth so are we.'

His
presence in us blesses our Spirit, our mind, our body.
'And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.' Colossians 1:17

His
Blessing that's in
us makes us prosper in all we need to prosper in all the time when we
realize it and receive it.
'By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for
the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world.' 1 John 4:17

Why?
Because His blood fulfilled the righteous requirement of the law for
us once and for all time.

Nothing
can separate us from Him, or the blessings that come from Him,
because we are in Him and He is in us! (See Romans 8)

Receive
the atonement of Yeshua's blood today and stop struggling to fulfill
what has already been fulfilled 2000 years ago; The righteous
requirement of the Law!

A little thought on prayer and always asking for it when ya need it . . . I learned this the hard way by losing everything I had including my health.

Consider this: We all have to learn to be at peace with our self , with life, and our circumstances for our spirit to be healed. Healing Aways begins there. It is proactive and not reactive. Romans 8:28

It is hard in ourselves to do that sometimes. because we are overwhelmed with the size of the problems that face us instead of the size of the God who loves us.

Jesus was at perfect peace, when in the boat during the storm. (In fact he was asleep) The disciples however weren't at peace.
Jesus said to them, 'Oh you of LITTLE faith.'
Later Paul said, 'The life I NOW live is by the Faith OF Jesus. Not faith IN Jesus.
Our faith in Jesus is what opens the door to the faith OF Jesus.

Jesus has big faith and He will exchange His Big faith for our little faith every time we ask Him to.

And in that, no matter the storm of life we are presently in, we WILL cross over to the other side of the Lake and not drown in the storm.
'Ask that your joy might be full.'
"Oh what needless grief we bear all because we don't take everything to Him in prayer."

Just talking about faith is not faith, We got to do what He actually said about prayer and then learn to pray without ceasing . . That's how real faith and prayer work.

He asked us, 'Why do you call me Lord Lord, why don't you try actually doing the things I say?' I think he meant, among other things, to actually get grounded in the word, know what it says, apply it to our circumstances and to actually begin to live by faith and prayer. all done from a place of victory and not defeat.cowichehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12688103113384923191noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4133020067355350877.post-19393863685552102362015-02-21T06:34:00.004-07:002015-02-21T06:34:51.457-07:00Gifts

I'm not a poet. I have never written poetry nor even read it much. Everyday since my heart stopped I've been hearing poetry in my spirit . . . Here's the latest.

At dawns first light
The spirit of the Beaver
called to me

He said without remorse
and with some force
come and see

You who have eyes to see
And ears to hear
Even now the axe is laid
To the root of the tree

Two have fallen
And one remains
Soon I am coming
With healing in my wings

To remove from you
all your pain
And in that
There will be so much gain

So let not your heart
Be troubled
Neither let it be afraid
nor given to despair
For the foundation has
Already been laid

As I was reading from Mark, looking at the trees in the pic, the wind blew my pages. I tried to turn them back but every time I did they blew right back to this passage; Luke 3:4-11
It's a Mystery . . .

A Christian man asked me once what I called my self . . .

I am called, by my Jewish brothers, a 'Messie," (not a term of endearment I assure you).
By my Gentile brothers, I am called by many other "names" equally displeasing.
By my Indian brothers, 'Halfbreed.'

My real Brother, calls me 'Friend.'

My real name means 'Beloved of God.'

He said, 'If they hated me they will hate you also.'
I have seen that to be true. Took me a lot a years to accept it.
As you might suppose . . .

Nowadays, I am good with all my 'names;' (Those that are true and those
that aren't so true). I've made my peace with name calling, and I am
learning to love you all.
Just don't expect me to come outta the woods any time soon. OK?

In the woods I call myself "Blessed."

Yitz' chak said to Avraham, "I see the the fire and the wood but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?"
Avraham said," God will provide himself the lamb for the burnt offering."
( B'resheet 22:7-8)

Later God said, "No one shall appear before me without an offering"
(Sh'mot 34:20)

Then in the primary book of the Law or Teachings, (the Torah) the first chapter is devoted to describing the acceptable offering! (Offerings were made for the atonement of the person making the offering. Vayikra (Leviticus) chapter one.

"The offering shall be from the herds and the flocks it shall be male without blemish"
vs 3
(Self explanatory I think)
see 1 Peter 1:19 "It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God."

"and he (the priest), shall put his hand on the 'head' of the offering.
vs4
Yeshua is the 'head' of the body." Colossians 1:18

"Aaron's sons shall shall bring the blood and sprinkle the blood around the Alter."
vs 5
It was the Cohen, (Priests), of Yeshua's day that brought him to the cross where his blood was sprinkled.

"and he, shall 'flay' the burnt offering and cut it into it's peices"
vs 6
Yeshua was given 40 lashes 'flaying' him to the bone and literally cutting his body to shreds.

"But his inwards and his legs shall be washed with water"
vs 9
When the Centurion pierced his side water and blood flowed from his side and down onto his legs. His inwards and legs were washed with water.

You see the acceptable offering, that atones for us is YESHUA ben David the Maschiac. "No one will come before me without an acceptable offering."
God has provided our offering for us . . .
Do you 'see' it . . . .cowichehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12688103113384923191noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4133020067355350877.post-67509232205552133502015-01-28T09:50:00.002-07:002015-01-28T11:57:28.617-07:00Help

I went to visit a friend of mine who has back and neck injuries
similar to mine. He's been living on morphine for years.

I was set
free from morphine, Fentanyl, and a plethora of other pain reliving
addictions by the power of God.
I promise you, when that happened, I was in NO WAY worthy of the help I RECEIVED!

I found my friend covered in a blanket and bemoaning his pain. I
offered to pray for him . . . he refused my offer. Even though he
professes to believe.

While I was there his morphine came in the mail.

Before even
opening the package and taking the morphine, his demeanor immediately
changed from sorrow and depression to elation and joy . . . purty
sure it is a cycle that will be repeated.

'From whence does our help come . . .?' King David

Life can be lived in the Donut hole. Surrounded by Donut; but in
the hole where there is no Donut to eat and there is no help.

Help -To aid; to assist; to lend strength; a means to move forward
with efficacy in purpose.

Legalistic ways of thinking are the things that keep us in the
Donut Hole.
Because they either cause us or someone else to think
and finally believe we somehow have to be worthy to receive help.

Isn't the fact that help is needed enough to succor help?

Under
legalistic ways of thinking, No one gets help because help has to be
earned.

Some think they are worthy of help, but others, not so much
because they aren't yet worthy . . . Legalism requires worthiness,
perfection, to get out of the Donut Hole.
If that is THE WAY . . . if human perfection is THE WAY . . .
Then
why does He say He is an ever present help in time of need and why
did he then say we who obviously are not yet perfect could come to
Him boldly in time of need to receive the help we ALL need . . .

Legalism puts us all in the DONUT HOLE where THERE IS NO HELP.
God's Grace unmerited favor puts us on the Donut. Grace was paid for by Jesus.

My help, from God, (and I get a lot of it), comes when I believe the help I need is already on the way.
My part is to believe until the help I need gets here.

Help from people comes by asking or begging or manipulation.
Help from God comes from 'Receiving' the help that has already been given.
'see' Hebrews 4:16

When I go to the throne of grace to receive the help, that has already been given, His answer is always, "Request granted!" or as it is written "The promises of God are yes and Amen to THOSE THAT BELIEVE."

<div class="_5pbx userContent" data-ft="{"tn":"K"}">
If
I preach a Gospel that negates God's grace, unmerited favor, and
focuses instead on performance how could that be 'Good News?'

It
aint good news at all, it is business as usual. Because, ya see, my
performance aint all that good. How bout yours? In buisness, what
happens when yer performance does not meet expectaion . . . Ya get
FIRED.
Gospel - 'Good News' - not bad news . . . ya get it?

I can only see how I look when I look in the mirror but I can see how others look without a mirror . . .

The problem with that is, without looking into the mirror occasionally, it is all
too easy for me to forget how I look; but I never seem to forget how
others look because I don't need a mirror to see them.

Maybe our
proclivity to see the fault in others, is really just a reminder of what
we see in the mirror . . . when we look into it . . . and soon forget . . .

The first step I employ to realizing a goal in my life is to
define the parameters or the 'work involved' in attaining that
'defined goal.' The second step is to actually do the work.

Paul said to the Colossians the 'work' is to make fully known the
message of God.
Which is . . . We have been ransomed and set free,
(past tense), by the blood of Christ . . . Col 1:25
Paul went on to say the 'goal' of that work is that we might be
united with Christ or become one with Him. Col 1;28-29

When Christ is in us, we have Shalom with God. The word 'shalom'
is the first word used in the Bible to define 'healing.' Genesis
43:28

Shalom - Peace, safety, prosperity, well being, intactness,
wholeness, security, safety. Which brings feelings of satisfaction,
well being, and contentment - perfect peace.

The 'work' to do to have Shalom in life is to begin to believe the
message of God.
"He sent his word and he healed them and delivered them from
destruction."
Psalms 107:20 The word he sent was the living
word, Yeshua Ha' Maschiac; Jesus

Postscript:
The first step I try to employ in realizing a goal in my life is to
define the parameters or the 'work involved' in attaining that 'defined
goal.' The second step is to actually do the work. Of course, that is
all predicated on whether I believe, or not, I can do the work and attain the
goal . . . Even if no one else does . . .

Because ya see, The goal of the Bible is to come to faith or trust in the One whom he sent . . . and not in our own efforts. That doesn't mean we don't exert effort, it means we trust in what God did to make our effort successful . . . and that is Jesus

The Horse is prepared for The Day of Battle but victory, (still), comes from the Lord . . .
Ya get it? :) My efforts are just a reflection of what I already believe.

The first name God revealed to the Hebrew children, when he
brought them out of bondage in Egypt was "Jehovah Rapha" 'I
Am the Lord who heals you!"

David tells us in Tehillim,
(Psalms), 105:37 . . . "There were NONE feeble among them."
The name Jehovah is the Hebrew name attributed to The Creator.

Ya
can see who the Creator is by Reading John chapter 1 and Colossians
chapter 1.
The Creator, according to those passages, is YESHUA Ha' Maschiac;
alias, Jesus.

'Endurance' is an important element of our Faith or Trust. (see James
chapter 1)

Our faith can and will be tested when troubles come our way. Jesus
said, "Troubles will come our way in the world, but to fear not
for He has already overcome them, ( the troubles ya see). In that, if I continue to stand on the word of God and not what the world or my
circumstances or other people tell me . . . James says, the reward is
the 'Crown of Life' when the testing or troubles are finished.

'Having done all else I stand on the WORD of GOD and Not what the
world says . . .
It's my choice . . . Faith or Trust in God, Jehova
Rapha brings me into the Promised Land of healing and nuthin else . . .

Endurance is perfected in Troubles. When Endurance is perfected
there are no Troubles that can trouble me any more.
Troubles, when
faced with faith, are what causes my endurance to grow . . . So I am
gonna stand on the word of God with Endurance and let my endurance
grow! James said, "When troubles come it is an occasion for Great Joy!
Because of the reward that comes when our endurance is mature . . .
(see James chapter one NLB)

Endurance - A bearing or suffering: a continuing under pain or
distress without resistance or without sinking or yielding to
pressure.
To last. To continue in a state of Trust without
perishing; to remain to abide.

"We believed all the way to the end."
(Russel Wilson)

Even though Green Bay was, arguably, the 'better' team in the NFC Championship game, the Seahawk's
'endurance' brought them the Crown that day.
A perfect picture of how faith works, I'd say . . .

Ever hear someone say, "I don't know what God's will for me
is."

Paul prayed God would give the Messianic believers in the city of
Colosse
a "complete" knowledge of His will. Colossians
1:9

He then went on to explain how that happens.

He said,
"Yeshua is the visible image of the invisible God."

To know the complete will of God we only have to study and see the
life and actions of Yeshua, (in the Gospels), "Who being full of
the Holy spirit went about doing good and healing everyone who was
sick and setting free all those who were oppressed by the devil."
Acts 10:38

Because ya see, "Yeshua is the 'visible' image of the
invisible God. Yeshua existed before anything was created and is
supreme over all creation! For through Him God created everything in
the heavenly realms and on earth. Yeshua made things we can see and
he made things we cannot see!"
Colossians 1: 15-16

Yeshua changes not, He is the same yesterday, today , and forever!
Hebrews 13:8
Now that is a Rock ya can build on!
The lid of the Ark of the testimony, or covenant, God made with
Israel; the Ark God had Moshe place the emblems of God's grace and mercy
toward the rebellion of man is known in Judaism as the Mercy Seat or
"propititory."

It is where God spoke to Moshe and is a type of the Messiah. It is where the Blood of the sacrifice was applied.

It had the Power to make "propitious"

Propitious - God's unmerited favor or kindness applied to men. A
testimony, or proof, of God's disposition to be gracious and merciful to
man's rebellion and His willingness to be forgiving of sins and to
bestow blessing where no blessing was/is deserved . . .

Paul said, " Yeshua became the "propitiation" for our sins.

Nothing but the blood of Jesus can make us . . . propitious . . . again.
The perfect Lamb of God . . . the Propititory. Think on it some today.

Good contributes to diminish or remove pain. Not add it.
Good's purpose is to increase happiness or prosperity, not take it away.
( a happy mind is a prosperous mind),

Good's purpose is to be of benefit, to give an advantage.

God does Good to ALL people, however, we people sometimes choose . . . .
who we will do good to and who we wont, because well, we are just
people.

Good really only comes from God . . . Good is spelled
like God, but with just another Zero added. Good is added to us when we
go through the Door.

Jesus is that door. He said, "I am the Door when you go in and when you go out you WILL find green Pastures." John 10:9-16

Commend - a word that comes from the same root word for command.

It means to demand the attention of others. To represent oneself as
worthy of special notice, regard, or kindness not given to others . . . .
In short, to 'advertise' oneself . . . .

"We don’t dare class
or compare ourselves with some of the people who 'advertise,' (rendered
'commend' in the KJV), themselves. In measuring themselves against each
other and comparing themselves with each other, they are simply stupid." 2 Corinthians 10:12 CJB

Considered - Not really worthy of any good thing, but given care,
attention, and viewed attentively anyway. To be given merit by another.

Since we have come to be CONSIDERED 'righteous' by God, because of
our trust, let us continue to have 'shalom' with God through our Lord,
Yeshua the Messiah."
Romans 5:1 CJB

So since we are presently
only 'considered' Righteous by God, what could we possibly have, in
ourselves, to ever be 'commended' for if in all truth . . .
" . . . When we display our righteous deeds,
they are, (considered), nothing but filthy rags." Isaiah 64:5 (6) CBJ
Justify - to declare, pronounce, or consider one to be just, righteous.
“Now the ACCOUNT of someone WHO IS WORKING, (attempting to earn), is
credited, not on the ground of grace, (UN EARNED favor), but on the

Speaking to the 'religious' people of his day, through the Prophet Yesha 'Yahu, the Holy Spirit spoke of the 'mowtah,' the 'yoke.'

He said this:

"Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: "Here am I." '

“If you do away with the mowtah, the 'yoke' of oppression, with the
pointing finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves in
behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your
light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the
noonday." Yesha 'Yahu/Isaiah 58: 9-10

And that kids, using Yeshua/Jesus as our example, (see
Ephesians 5:1). is what He came to do . . . to remove the mowtah . . .
the yoke . . . of 'religion.'

He came to set us free from the penalty and punishment of sin.
"It is for freedom we have been set free!" Galatians 5:1

If we put rules and regulations on people and expect them to keep those
rules and regulations, to gain our approval, aren't we damning them for
who or what we 'judge' them to be, instead of helping them to become who
God want's and see's them to be? (see Isaiah 58).
All things are possible with God!

Kid's,
religious Law can't help us to become who God wants us to be.
He came to be ALL we need . . . He is Grace.

A curious thing about translating Hebrew into Greek and then into English is the Hebrew and Greek letters can have different meanings. The translator has to make his or her best guess. Take a look at Luke 11:28 as it is translated in the King James and then the New Living Bible.

"But he said, yea rather even more blessed are they that hear the word of God, and 'keep' it."
KJV

"But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into 'practice.'

The Greek word 'phylasso' is the word translated ,keep' or 'practice.'

'Phylasso' actually means 'to guard.' A direct intrepretaion would be: '... hear the word of God and 'guard' it.'

A considerable amount of room for interpretation, eh.

It becomes a bit clearer when you put the Parable of the sower and the poor soils up along side.
Then add :
'The thief comes not but for to steal . . .'
And finally, "Guard your heart, for out of it come the issues of life . . . or . . . 'for out of it life issues forth.'

Yesterday, a young girl and her boyfriend came to visit me, She told me she had something called 'Narcoleptic Bi Polar disease.
I asked her what the effect of that was.

She said she had hallucinations and heard voices. I asked her if I could pray for her.

She said, "I've been told I couldn't be healed because I'm not a
believer and that believers could not pray for me either." She was told
that in a Church.

I asked her, were all of the people Jesus healed 'believers', when He was here? (before He was crucified and resurrected?)

She thought for a moment and said, No I guess they weren't . . .

I said, 'Now can I pray for you?' She said yes . . . Well long story short, God healed her! Now she is a believer!

Kids, that's the kinda stuff God does on my mountain of faith every day and it is because of Grace, not legalistic performance.

Abba, thank you for the one and not the Ton . . .

'So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. YOUR STRENGTH COMES
FROM GODS GRACE not from rules about food, which don't help those who
follow them.'
In the king James it says to BE ESTABLISHED IN GOD"S GRACE. Hebrews 13:9

Now listen to Paul in His letter to the Romans . . . .

"For I long to see you that I may impart some spiritual GIFT to you that YOU MAY BE ESTABLISHED.

Grace, is our impowerment and it is what establishes us!

Grace - God's unmerited and unearned favor, that IS the source and wellspring of every good thing we can receive from God.

Why, because it precludes Pride. Pride is us trying to earn favor from God.
Just receiving it requires being humble . . . "I can't, but He can . . . in every area of my Life!

Peter said He gives what to the Humble and He does what with the proud?
Kids ya got to have eyes to see it and ears to hear it . . . .
Grace is Jesus. . . at work . . . .

Abba,
thank you that your Son is at the center of our lives. Thank You that
your Grace is sufficient for us. Thank You for providing for us when we
choose to believe it. Thank you that you are at work to will and to do
in our lives,

Thank You for causing Faith and Trust, not fear, to well up in us each morning.

Thank You for having a plan for us today and everyday for good and not
evil, that we might have a . . . hope . . . and a future for this
day and for all the days of our lives, I believe Abba that we will see
your goodness today. I receive it Abba, in Jesus name.
